These glaze-coated parts are treated twice with a lasting agent “special wood oil”. This is a preservative method against the effects of the weather, greys, even blueness, mould and rot. Alternatively “wood oil” without additives, can be used to preserve wood against fungal decay (rot) and insect attack. In both cases, colour alternatives are light toned natural or larch e.g. Bangkirai. After assembly, it is recommended that a final coating is applied.
The coloured parts are treated twice with a lasting “white wood preservative” agent. This should preserve the wood against blueness. In order to protect the wood, these parts should be pressure impregnated. On assembly, this can be followed up with a single coating of insulating white, e.g. twice over with masonry colour of your choice. Glazed items are not products for storing but are produced according to the order. Please take note of delivery times.
The boards will be attached to pegged sub-battens by stainless steel screws. Stainless steel screws guarantee durability of the boards and not make them prone to rust. Assembly recommendation (please see the technical illustration).
