Safety and Maintenance

The minimum requirements for playground equipment security are summarised in the the DIN EN 1176 and 1177.
The products offered by us correspond to the current requirements and are sufficiently statically dimensioned with regards to expected pressure.

Our products are constructed in such a way that the children do not face a big accidental risk, when playing on level ground. For young people, the risk limit is classified as medium, which is like cycling without traffic effect/influence.
Contrary to the standard/bare compliances of the DIN requirements by the manufacturer, our products are examined by an independent authority (TÜV Rhine). TÜV approval guarantees, by external examination, the necessary safety regulations.

Children's playgrounds must be regularly examined, in line with the operator’s legal duty to maintain safety in accordance with DIN EN 1176 and 1777, with regards to traffic and safe play conditions.

We recommend that you consider this when financially planning your playground. The timely intervals for maintenance depend on the exposure and design of the equipment. Dynamic play equipment is subject to more wear and tear than static ones. Regular inspection will help in recognising possible damage. Pieper Holz attaches maintenance documentation (see Maintenance Guidelines) to the play equipment and on request - a sample sheet for play equipment and playground equipment.
In addition, we offer a service in the context of an individual maintenance contract, to either partially or fully carry out inspections, maintenance and repair work.
