Wood Preservation, Guarantee
One differentiates in wood preservation animal pests, like longicorn beetles, wood boring beetles, stag beetles, deathwatch beetle, termites from plant parasites, like dry rot, pore dry rot, decaying rot, blueness and mould. The impregnating agents used today offer a good and long lasting protection against wood-destroying insects and fungi.
1. Impregnation
The critical area for upright posts is the part between the between soil and air. Wood is in this area is particularly subject to strong harmful factors, which through standard impregnating procedures can protect and ensure ensure good durability. The safest method for protection is using post anchors.
This treatment as well as the additional perforation of our roundwoods guarantee the necessary penetration depth of the protection salts. All roundwood comply with the impregnation requirements of the RAL quality control and exceed the requirements of the DIN 68800. With RAL-quality-secured wood, you can rely on the fact that the wood is optimally protected with the latest technique. The officially certified wood preservation salts are introduced in accordance with the high requirements of the RAL quality control. Recordings are made for each impregnation. Even after a number of years, quality impregnation in accordance with RAL-RG 411 can be proven. Our RAL quality mark ensures that all timber construction elements are durably protected for years. Regular monitoring of our impregnation equipment is done via a neutral expert. We permanently mark all roundwood.
We presently use two certified, wood-preservation salts on play equipment:
1. As standard, play equipment is pressure impregnated with a chrome-free impregnating agent, Rütgers Organics’ impralit- KDS.
2. If desired, play equipment can be pressure treated with the chrome-free impregnating agent CX-10 from the company Wolman.
As suggested above, we recommend the use of post anchors for products which are installed into the ground.
On request we can even deliver non-impregnated equipment. It should therefore be expected and accepted that it will reduce durability.
2. Warranty
Devices, which are marked with a quality seal, including upright posts, are pressure impregnated in accordance with the quality and test regulations of the RAL quality control. These products come with a 10 year guarantee in accordance with the following statement:
Usage instructions
The marking of the RAL-quality-secured products is made in accordance with the requirements of the quality and test regulations. In order that a label can be given to a particular product, the product that is is being (has been) produced in accordance with the quality and testing of the RAL Quality Impregnated wood components eV, should have specified on invoices and delivery notes, behind the respective product names, the abbreviation “RAL” with the appropriate hazard class indicated (3 or 4 according to DIN 68 800 Part 3). Without this, it is not a quality-secured product!
With the RAL Quality Mark (marking nail / branding stamp / organisation of the RAL Quality Impregnated wood components eV) labelled products, are provided to the buyer by the manufacturer, the company

including a 10 year guarantee, used in the indicted custom classes, where damage via insects, fungi and rot, which make intended use of the respective product impossible, a replacement via an equivalent or similar product will follow.
Further claims from this statement – especially all consequental damage including installation and removal costs – are excluded. In a case of damage, the dealer must be informed directly after its occurrence. The latter reserves the right to review the reported defective product on the spot. After appropriate approval the product concerned must be returned to the manufacturer free of charge. The dispatch of a replacement delivery is made to the account and at the risk of the recipient. The guarantee covers any production errors.
The guarantee pre-sets the normal installation of the products (see price list Palisades). It is however impossible:
1. If the RAL quality mark is missing or is unrecognisable.
2. If the product was later worked on
3. or an impregnation was damaged due to mechanical effects.
4. If an attachment, installation or connection to other products is not appropriate or is in ignorance installation requirements.
It is incumbent on the buyer, and/or. the owner give proof that the mentioned conditions were given and that the damage is due to an event in accordance with paragraph 1.
3. Aluminium-Oak System
As an alternative to the proven impregnated coniferous wood, a product line has been developed, which with untreated parts, robust are easily recyclable. Only raw materials are then applicable. These have a certain positive and natural image, and thus are ideal for play equipment areas, also in an educational aspect. Tropical wood, steel section etc. are naturally rejected.
With the new developed system “Alu-oak” play equipment made from a combination of recyclable aluminium and natural oak wood were realized. Thus a further step towards special stability and longevity without additional wood preservation.
Qualities of our Adopted Aluminium Profile:
• Very good corrosion resistance for different weather, particularly against sea water, through additional anodising materials.
• The anodised coats give a resistance against pH values of 5-8. Hardened concrete of a pH value of 5, cannot wear out our posts.
• The produced oxide coatings offer a high abrasion and abrasion resistance.
• By external damage, the air quickly forms a new protective oxide layer.
• Aluminium is safe: In our everyday environment, it can come in a variety of shapes, such as aluminium foil or in the food sector – chocolate wrappings.
• Because of the low density of aluminium, the metal in the production, is mainly used for air and space. Profile strengthes are reached, which are superior to those from steel.
• With today's technology, aluminium can be re-melted and casted, without any loss of quality. In addition, recycling is economically interesting due to the high value of the metal. Through recycling aluminium, raw material and energy can be saved and dumpsites could be reduced.
• Our aluminium profiles exhibit good optical characteristics. Through the auxiliary anodization, the profile receives an easily matt working surface and thereby work naturally. This natural optical impression, in association with its softness and warmth, results in an outstanding combination.
Our local regenerated oak has the following characteristics:
• Medium heavy to heavy and hard, thereby robust and indestructible.
• Excellent strength and elasticity characteristics and high wear-resistance.
• Little evanescent and with generally good stamina.
• The heartwood is highly weather-proof, durable under water, almost for an unlimited period. Oak is in accordance with EN 350-2 (natural wood durability) in class 2 (durably classified). It can have long durability even without sub-surface installation.
• Untreated oak is recyclable or can readily be used for energy.
Grouping aluminium and oak into play equipment is an ideal step, the above-mentioned characteristics will be outstandingly combined of these two products.
For this reason we can grant an unusually longer guarantee of 12 years on these materials.
4. Structural Wood Preservation
In order to strengthen the impregnation effect and thus the longevity of our products, we obviously take into account structural wood preservation. Possible areas of application are roof pitch and roof projections for protection against driving rain, the use of a surface with draining effect, no open-lying interfaces, internal integrated platforms, constructional concealed connection points etc.
5. Guarantee
We offer a guarantee of 60 months for play equipment and playground equipment that receives appropriate treatment, maintenance and servicing.
Thereby, parts subject to wear and tear are excluded.
